YOUR PROFILE – LIKE A PERSONAL BUSINESS CARD
Your myDGNB profile can be seen as a calling card and an important starting point for getting to know others according to your own priorities and preferences. Use every opportunity to draw attention to yourself and make it easy for others to get in touch. The more you tell the network about yourself and your involvement in sustainable building, the better!
Also, if you play a certain role at the DGNB (for example, if you work for a member organisation or you’re a licensed auditor, consultant, registered professional or ESG manager with the DGNB) this will automatically be shown in your profile. Your membership number is also displayed underneath your profile picture so you can look it up quickly in future.
EXCHANGE IDEAS WITH OTHER GROUP MEMBERS AND STAY INFORMED
At the heart of myDGNB are different interest groups, which allow you to follow discussions and shape internal thinking. If you want to actively participate in a group, each group offers different ways to get involved. The content of the groups you subscribe to will be displayed directly on your dashboard. This makes it easier for you to gain an overview of news articles, conversations, downloads, surveys and event tips.
THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF GROUPS ARE AVAILABLE TO USERS:
PUBLIC GROUPS
The public groups on myDGNB are open to all users. As well as viewing articles in public groups, depending on individual settings you may be able to comment on articles, write articles yourself, or both. You can take part in ongoing conversations or start a conversation yourself. There are also special moderated groups. To enter these, myDGNB users have to be admitted (on request) by a moderator.
EXCLUSIVE GROUPS
Exclusive groups on myDGNB are subject to certain admission requirements. We set up these restricted areas of myDGNB for people like DGNB members or certification experts. There’s also a restricted area for all of our committees. These allow members to organise different activities within a group, file documents and vote on ideas in private. Participation in exclusive groups requires direct authorisation from the DGNB.
Create and moderate your own groups
The DGNB has established a certain number of public and exclusive groups for direct use. These will be moderated and edited by DGNB staff.
However, you can also create your own groups. For instance, let's say you want to start your own local group. Please get in touch with us so that we can assist you in forming a new group so that you can get started right away.
Stay informed via your dashboard and email
The dashboard is your personal overview of myDGNB. You can access it by clicking on the myDGNB logo at the top or via the link in the left-hand side menu. It gives you a summary of the latest DGNB news and event recommendations, as well as the most recent activity in the groups you are a member of.
So that you don’t miss anything, you will receive personalized updates of the latest myDGNB activity via email. If there is news for you, you will receive your update once a day in the form of a collection of short teasers.
As a user, you will receive these service emails automatically. If you wish to deactivate this service, you can do so in your DGNB User Account. Simply unsubscribe from "Your daily update" in the "Subscribe to DGNB Newsletter" tab.
