Day 1 at EXPO REAL was marked by innovations, inspiring discussions, and many highlights at the DGNB booth.
There were a number of firsts to hear about at our booth B3.141:
Visitors were able to find out what the significantly streamlined version 2023.2 of the DGNB system for new construction will look like. What is behind the new DGNB “Social Positive” award. And what we have planned for the future in collaboration with REMMS. The study conducted by Buro Happold comparing DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM also celebrated its world premiere.
We also awarded around 50 DGNB certificates, including special projects such as the first DGNB-certified project in India (Hilti Group) and an airship hangar in Mülheim an der Ruhr. And a DGNB Gold cake to celebrate at Frasers Property Limited was definitely a first!
The central theme of the day was our motto for the opening of the stand: “Now more than ever! Why ESG and sustainability will continue to be the guiding principles of construction in the future.” Because even though parts of the industry are proclaiming “ESG is dead,” the day showed that the reality is quite different.
