Municipalities and their employees can now benefit from exclusive offers and special conditions. These include discounts for participation in DGNB Academy training courses and reduced fees for DGNB certification. These are applicable and eligible for virtually all building and neighborhood uses in municipal projects. The DGNB is supported in its project by the Association of German Cities, with which a corresponding memorandum of understanding has been signed.
“The public sector plays an important role as a role model in sustainable, climate-friendly construction – after all, the states and municipalities themselves are major property owners and build both new and existing buildings,” explains Dr. Christine Lemaitre, Chief Executive Officer, DGNB. “In practice, however, there is often a lack of budget or input for building authorities to implement a holistic, life-cycle-oriented approach to construction, including the associated certification. This is exactly where our services come in.”
