Ten projects have made it to the final selection for the German Sustainability Award for Architecture, ranging from a sufficiency house to an inclusive sports center. The jury selected five renovation and new construction projects from among the nominees, which together represent a wide variety of construction tasks. This year marks the thirteenth time the award has been presented jointly by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.) and the German Sustainability Award Foundation (Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V.). For the first time, the winners will be announced at the Sustainable Architecture Forum on November 27, 2025, at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn.
"Once again this year, the jury is impressed by the diversity, multifaceted nature, and consistency with which sustainability issues are implemented in architecture," says DGNB President and Jury Chairman Prof. Amandus Samsøe Sattler. “The projects nominated for the German Sustainability Award demonstrate how sustainability can be achieved in everyday architecture through compelling designs for various types of use and building typologies. Not as an add-on, but as a natural part of architectural quality. This creates a building culture that is as visible and tangible as it is sustainable."
The nominated projects are:

- Campus Holzbau Schmäh, Meersburg
- Erweiterung und Sanierung Mehrzweckhalle, Ingerkingen
- (Park)haus der Zukunft, Wendlingen am Neckar
- Karl Schubert Schule, Leipzig
- Sanierung Sophie-Scholl-Haus, München
- Suffizienzhaus U10, Kassel
- Unser Gartenhaus - Haus ohne Zement, München
- Wohnhochhaus, Regensburg
